about

"Eyes That Feel" was written and recorded back in 2010 at Monty's house. It's always been a special recording to me. I enjoyed singing into his ribbon mic that looked like a light sabre.
So thing recording has been floating around in the back of my mind for 4 years or so, and I've wanted to share it, but so far it hasn't fit snugly enough with anything else I've been doing. So I figured I should just dust it off, mix it and put it out by itself.
I added the synthesizer a couple weeks ago.
I have a full length album being mixed right now, and it sounds pretty different from this song here. I wanted to go ahead and put this out to the world. So here you go!

lyrics

Today I may be poor I may be sad
But shame is only a future I never had
I know what I know in the back of my mind
With eyes that feel the present time
Love, there is no limit that your wonder knows
It ain't tough to see generations under your clothes
To do what you do in the back of my mind
With eyes that feel the present time

uhhhh

Fame, ugh what a ragweed under my skin
A game so many play but not many win
I know who I am in the back of my mind
I'm layin' down my guns tonight
And you come to me softly night after night
You, chasing me patiently onto the light
I rest in your peace till I know I'm alive
With eyes that feel the present time
Rest in your peace ah I'm almost alive
With eyes that feel the present time
